No insurance? What year bike? A similar thing happened to my SO years ago on a different bike. He was out riding, stopped for gas and then saw gas leaking out of the fuel line, dripping on the battery. He yelled to the owner to shut the emergency on the pumps. His friend took of running leaving his own bike at the pumps. Bike was on fire but my SO dragged it away from the pumps to avoid an explosion. He had his leather jacket and leather gloves on. When they got him to the hospital he wouldn't let them cut his jacket off. They did cut what was left of the gloves off. He was lucky. Second degree burns. He went to see his bike the next day and people were gathered around saying they heard that the guy riding that bike died. Well, of course he let them know he was alive and well. He had requested full coverage on the bike, but the agent told him he had not requested fire. He fought butlost. He should have read the fine print on the policy and not assume she gave him what he wanted.
